November 9, 2025 – January 4, 2026

Get ready to stitch your way into the holiday spirit with our Cozy Holiday Sweater Stitch-Along (SAL)! This year, we and our friends at Creators Corner are going head-to-head in a friendly competition to see which shop can rack up the most stitches total throughout the sweater making. 

Kick off with us on Sunday, November 9th at 1 PM!

Each week, we’ll tally up everyone’s stitches during our SAL socials; so grab your needles, hooks, or loom and help your team climb the leaderboard!

🗓 SAL Schedule:

• In-Person Socials: Sundays, 1 - 3 PM CST at YarnCom
• Virtual Socials (Zoom): Sundays, 3 - 4 PM CST
• Instagram Live with Heather & Tanisha: Sundays, 2 PM CST

Heather and Tanisha will be checking in live each week to share progress, cheer everyone on, and celebrate all those cozy stitches! Whether you’re crafting your first sweater or adding another to your handmade wardrobe, this is all about fun, community, and creativity.

Featured Patterns

Knit: Jones by tincanknits

Crochet:  Cascade Cardi by Kali's Threads

Is there a different pattern you've had your eye on? No worries! Feel free to use whichever pattern you'd like. Just be sure to select the "Choose My Own Pattern" option when signing up.

If you choose to make one of the featured patterns, you will receive a printed copy and will get the pattern sent to you on Ravelry or via email. If you'd like to receive the pattern on Ravelry, please leave your Ravelry ID in the order notes. If no Ravelry ID is included, we will send your pattern to the email provided. Not all patterns are able to be sent through Ravelry. 

Yarn

If you choose to purchase yarn for the Stitch Along from Yarncom, select the "Yarn from Yarncom" option when signing up. There is no fee for this option and you get the recommended pattern for free!

If you'd like to use your own stash for the SAL please select the "Stash Buster" option. There is a $15 fee for this option and the recommended pattern is included.

**Featured patterns will be sent after confirmation of payment or purchase of yarn.

Need Help?

We're excited to offer the help table for stitchers that may be learning a few new techniques in their project, and need a little help along the way. As a reminder, this is NOT a class. For those that prefer to have assistance getting through a single technique required in the pattern, or just want additional guidance or encouragement through the process our help table is great!

If you'd like to have access to the help table at every SAL Social for the duration of the Stitch Along (5 Sessions), select the "Help Table" option when signing up. This one time $30 fee gives you a seat at the help table every week!

If you're confident in your stitching abilities and don't need help during the SAL, select "No Help".

If you signed up for "No Help" but ended up needing some assistance, you can purchase a one-time help session for $15 at one of the SAL Socials. This is only valid for one help session.

Help Sessions are only offered in person.

Online Participation

Our online community is welcome to participate in Yarncom SAL's!

Here are the rules:

• Post your participating WIP on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok
• Tag us @yarncom
  

Each qualifying post will get you 1 entry into our SAL Gift Card Giveaway! 

If you complete your project within the timeline of the SAL you are eligible our Finished Object Gift Card Giveaway and can enter by emailing pictures of your finished objects to info@yarncomstl.com

Raffles & Prizes

By entering the SAL you will become eligible to win a $25 Yarncom Store Credit at the end. How do you enter the raffle? You will receive tickets by doing the following:

• Sign up for the SAL
• Attend the SAL Kick Off on November 9!
• Attend one or ALL of our Sunday SAL socials from Nov 9 - Jan 4.

We will have a separate $25 Yarncom Store Credit giveaway for all the participants that post to Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.

• Sign up for the SAL
• Post to Social Media Platforms and tag @yarncom

And for our finishers, we will have another raffle for a $40 Yarncom Store Credit! To enter:

• You must not start your project prior to November 9, 2025.
• You have purchased your yarn from Yarncom for this SAL.
• You have all of the project completed and attend the January 4, 2026.
