Learning intermediate knitting skills in a small project is a fantastic way to explore something new! In this class, we will make an adorable little fish pouch using the Rybka Pouch pattern by the Rat and Sea Witch. This pouch is the perfect charm for a purse or knitting bag, and is great to hold a lip balm, earbuds, or even small knitting notions.
We discuss how to read the pattern, how to knit garter, stockinette, and ribbing, and how to do increases and decreases. We will also cover some basic assembly techniques like crocheting panels of knitting together, making a drawstring channel, and knitting an i-cord.

This is NOT an absolute beginner class. Please be aware that class time will not be spent on reteaching the aforementioned prerequisites.
Homework: Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to if you plan to buy supplies on the day of class.

- Buttons for fish eyes.
Supplies to Bring
Only very small quantities are needed, so if you do not have scraps that are suitable, make sure to check out mini skeins at YarnCom.
- approx. 13 g of sock yarn (great for scraps)
- approx. 9 g of mohair, or a fluffy lace weight
- US 2.5 (3 mm) knitting needles. straight or circular
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
