Among the easiest sweater shapes to knit and fit is the circular yoke neck sweater. Worked from the top down (for this class top down is required) this is a shape you can try as you knit it and the variations in yarn and pattern are literally endless. There is a top down circular yoke neck sweater for everyone.

Use this search bundle on Ravelry or check with Ann to make sure the sweater you choose to knit fits the parameters of this class.  https://ravel.me/xabsei

We will focus on construction and fit, beginning with yarn and size choices, so be ready with your sweater pattern purchased and either printed or on a device for the first class.  As the weeks pass, we’ll work as a class on swatches and techniques particular to this kind of sweater.

Techniques you will learn

  • You will learn to work in the round
  • work short rows
  • increase and decrease in pattern
  • apply finishing techniques to your sweater
  • We will focus on sweater fit, sweater math, and gauge.

Prerequisites

  • Participants must be able to knit, purl, cast on, and cast off without Ann’s help.

This is NOT an absolute beginner class. Please be aware that class time will not be spent on reteaching the aforementioned prerequisites.
