Join us for a breezy summer Stitch Along as we whip up the cutest neck scarves perfect for warm-weather styling! Whether you're looking for a quick project to beat the heat or a fun way to accessorize, this SAL is all about light, simple stitching with big style.

These versatile kerchiefs can be worn as neck scarves, hair ties, or even as bandanas – just in time for sunny day adventures!

Grab your yarn, pick your pattern, and get ready for a fun and relaxing project perfect for the heart of summer. Let’s stitch something beautiful together!

This is a stitch-along, not a class. Prior experience with sock construction (knit or crochet) is strongly recommended. If you think you'll need help learning a new technique or two, check out the Need Help? section below!

Craft / Pattern

Knit: Peacock Scarf by LeKnit

Crochet: Guava Scarf by Laura Fernandez

Is there a different pattern you've had your eye on? No worries! Feel free to use whichever pattern you'd like. Just be sure to select the "Choose My Own Pattern" option when signing up.

If you choose to make one of the recommended patterns, you will receive a printed copy and will get the pattern sent to you on Ravelry or via email. If you'd like to receive the pattern on Ravelry, please leave your Ravelry ID in the order notes. If no Ravelry ID is included, we will send your pattern to the email provided. Not all patterns are able to be sent through Ravelry. 

Yarn

If you choose to purchase your yarn for the Stitch Along from Yarncom, select the "Yarn from Yarncom" option when signing up. There is no fee for this option and you get the recommended pattern for free!

If you'd like to use your own stash for the SAL please select the "Stash Buster" option. There is a $15 fee for this option and the recommended pattern is included.

**Featured patterns will be sent after confirmation of payment or purchase of yarn.

Need Help?

Ask about our SAL First Aid Sessions! We're excited to offer this help to stitchers that may be learning a few new techniques in their project, and need a little help along the way. As a reminder, this is NOT a class. It is most helpful for those that prefer to have assistance getting through a single technique required in the pattern, or just want additional guidance or encouragement through the process. SAL First Aid Session Fee: $15 for one (1) session during a 2025 stitch along social.

Online Participation

We will have a separate $10 Yarncom Gift Card giveaway for all the participants that post to Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.

• Post your participating WIP (work in progress) to Instagram, Facebook, or Tiktok and tag @yarncom

Each qualifying post will get you 1 entry into our Online Gift Card Giveaway!

Raffles & Prizes

By entering the SAL you will become eligible to win a $15 Yarncom Gift Card at the end. How do you enter the raffle? You will receive tickets by doing the following:

• Sign up for the SAL
• Attend the SAL Kick Off on Sunday, July 6th!
• Attend one or ALL of our Sunday SAL socials from July 6 - 27.
• Purchase your yarn for the SAL from Yarncom.

And for our finishers, we will have another raffle for a $20 Yarncom Gift Card! To enter:

• You must not start your project prior to July 6th.
• You have purchased your yarn from Yarncom for this SAL
• You have all of the project completed and attend the Finale on July 27th OR Email your finished object to info@yarncomstl.com by 9 AM, July 27th.
