You've knitted it — now what? This hands-on workshop tackles the skills that live between "I bound off" and "finished object""— the part most knitters learn by accident or not at all. We'll cover multiple bind-off methods and when to use each, how to wet block and steam block different fiber types, seaming techniques, and best practices for weaving in ends so they actually stay. You'll work on samples and swatches to practice each technique and leave with a go-to finishing toolkit for any future project.

Topics:

  • Bind off methods (stretchy, three needle bind off, italian bind off)
  • Blocking (wet blocking, steam blocking)
  • Seaming (mattress stitch for side seams, invisible joining)
  • Weaving in ends
  • Finishing order

Pre-Requisites:

  • Cast on (any method)
  • Knit & Purl Stitch
  • Basic Bind Off

Homework:

Your Host

Hi, I'm so excited to teach you about the magic of knitting and crochet! I have been knitting for 7 years and crocheting for 4, all self-taught from youtube videos. Knitting has always been a way for me to relax and take time away from screens. I love making wearables - sweaters, tees, and socks, oh my! But I've also made stuffed animals, blankets and plenty of gifts for friends and family. I'm always learning new techniques and cannot wait for you to join me!
