Book Description

When freshman Tess Stanford starts her required chemistry lab, she discovers the infamous Dr. Morgan—the professor everyone loves to hate. Brilliant but brutal, Dr. Morgan’s impossibly high standards and cold demeanor have made her the terror of the science department.

But, Tess argues, the professor is kind of cute...

Despite Dr. Morgan’s cruel behavior, Tess sees something intriguing. Until a classmate falls victim to Dr. Morgan’s ruthless methods. Tess confronts the devil on campus and risks it all, including her academic future—and possibly her heart.

About the Author: Hello, my name is Christy Hadfield, and I'm a scientist by trade. I studied molecular biology and computer science in undergrad, then I received my master's in bioinformatics. Currently I am a Ph.D. candidate studying biochemistry & molecular biology.

My passion is education. Access to a free and good education is a human right, not a privilege. If I could fix the American Education System in a heartbeat, I would. But in the meantime, I'm doing what I can to improve college pedagogy--we're preparing the future leaders of the world and I want to make sure they've had the best education possible

When I'm not striving for my degrees and teaching others, I like to write fiction. I've been writing my whole life but really started dedicating time to my hobby of writing fictional novels in 2010. Since I don't have a creative writing or English degree, I'm a self-taught author striving to improve my craft daily.
