This class is one session long. Please ensure you are available for the session before booking your spot. See cancellation policy below.
Ever frogged a project and wished you'd written down what you changed? Struggled to remember which needle size you used, or how many inches you knit before the armhole? A project journal is the knitter's secret weapon and it doesn't have to be complicated. In this creative workshop, we'll build out a personalized project journal system that works for your style, whether you're a bullet-journal devotee, a Ravelry power user, a sticky-note scribbler, or starting from scratch.
We'll cover what to track and why, how to document modifications and measurements, how to preserve yarn label details, and how to make journaling feel fun rather than like homework. You'll leave with a started journal page for a current or upcoming project and a system you'll actually use.
Topics:
- What to record: yarn, needles, gauge, modifications, measurements, row counts
- Digital vs. analog journaling
- Using Ravelry as a project journal
- How to document pattern modifications
- Adding swatches, color chips, pictures, yarn labels to physical journals

Hi, I'm so excited to teach you about the magic of knitting and crochet! I have been knitting for 7 years and crocheting for 4, all self-taught from youtube videos. Knitting has always been a way for me to relax and take time away from screens. I love making wearables - sweaters, tees, and socks, oh my! But I've also made stuffed animals, blankets and plenty of gifts for friends and family. I'm always learning new techniques and cannot wait for you to join me!
