Nalbinding is an ancient looping technique that predates knitting and crocheting. It uses a single needle and lengths of yarn that are connected together as you work.

Nalbinding is very versatile and the fabric it produces is extremely durable and doesn't unravel when holes form.

In this class you will learn the foundations of nalbinding to include, the Oslo stitch, working in the round, increasing/decreasing, and how to join lengths of yarn together

Welcome to Skuld Fiber Arts! My name is Melanie and I began my fiber arts journey in 2018 when I taught myself to knit a baby blanket while pregnant with my second daughter. Since then I've taken up spinning, weaving, nalbinding and have even become a shepherdess! I raise Babydoll Southdown and Shetland sheep as well as English Angora rabbits and process their wool myself, from start to finished yarn.
