It's been a quiet kick off to the month of September with our closure for the weekend to give our staff an opportunity to recharge and enjoy the fun around town.
Kristie & Heather spent Saturday morning at Daniel Boone's Home & Village in St. Charles, MO demonstrating spinning and knitting with the Weaver's Guild of St. Louis. We had the Greater St. Louis Knitter's Guild and St. Louis Rug Hooker's Guild out as well. There were some great samples of what can be done with Fiber Arts and meeting new Fiber Friends and seeing some of our other fiber friends! You can see a recap here.
This week we will be kicking off our Fall Hat Drive! If you haven't heard, we are teaming up with 7 Sisters Yarn & Fiber to collect hats for The Greater St. Louis Knitter's Guild. For every hat you turn in during the month you will be given a ticket for an opportunity to giveaways at the end of each month. We are doing this for September, October, and November. And if you need yarn to create the hats, we have some available. Just let our staff know and they will give you some yarn that has been donated to us for the community outreach projects like this one.
Our first Knitting Retreat will take place at Todd Hall Conference Center located in Columbia, IL. Although we are sold out, we plan on having others, so make sure you are on our email lists or follow our social media for other events in the future.
Unfortunately, due to low enrollment we have cancelled our classes next weekend with Jonee Davis. We are so bummed, but know that she teaches our the Midwest and Mid-South events. As we have information about her upcoming events we will send it out.
If you have been wanting to go to the next step with your knitting, Josie has you covered! She is teaching Knitting Next Steps for the next 2 Thursdays! Don't miss it. Click here to register.
September 10 we have a special announcement. You WILL NOT want to miss it! Look for updates on our socials or get signed up with our newsletter.
As always, we hope you will take a seat at the table and enjoy stitching with a fiber friend or two.
