At Yarncom, we believe that crafting is about more than making beautiful things. It's about community, connection, and caring for one another.
That's why we're proud to partner with the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank's Young Advocates Group as a donation site for their upcoming Period Supply Drive this July.
As fiber artists, makers, and community members, we understand the importance of having access to the tools and supplies we need. Unfortunately, for many people in our community, access to basic menstrual hygiene products remains a challenge.
According to the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, many local students and families struggle to access essential period products. These supplies are necessities—not luxuries—and a lack of access can impact school attendance, work, health, and dignity.
How You Can Help
Throughout July, Yarncom will serve as a collection site for unopened menstrual hygiene products, including:

Pads (all sizes)

Tampons (all sizes)

Panty liners
Please ensure all donations are sealed and unopened.
Simply bring your donations into the shop during regular business hours, and we'll make sure they get to the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank's Young Advocates Group.
Community Through Creation
One of the things we love most about fiber arts is the community that surrounds them. Whether it's helping someone learn their first stitch, celebrating a finished project, or supporting a neighbor in need, makers have always found ways to care for one another.
This donation drive is another opportunity to do exactly that.
Every package donated helps make period products more accessible for local students and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Last year's July drive collected nearly 8,000 period products thanks to the support of community partners throughout the region.
